Keeping certain directories in sync between 2 remote unraid systems

Hello everyone!

I am setting up an unraid server for my friend. He will be using it remotely. In the past he has manually connected to my FTP server (after connecting to my server via OpenVPN) on my unraid and copied data from it. Is there a more elegant solution? I do not want to sync my entire media folder, only certain folders he or I specify. I look at the Davos docker and it kind of looks like what I would like, but I don't know if there is anything else more elegant.
