October 15, 201015 yr after I hook up my hard drives each time my bios thinks it needs to change my flash drive from the boot device to the newly added hard drive. -=Jason=- It thinks it is helping you. Complain the manufacturer of the motherboard... Tell them they should not change your boot order once you set it. Joe L.
October 15, 201015 yr maybe I should have stated that "I too"have this asus issue, and I know about it. im not complaining I was just raising my hand and saying hey I have the same thing going on. Joe it wouldn't hurt to shoot a email off to asus about a bios update. -=jason=-

October 15, 201015 yr once again, simple fix - its a setting in bios. a few mobos have this 'feature'... check back on previous page. done. if this is what you are reffering to But I just discovered that in bios you can select any drive and tell bios to treat it as a (hard drive, floppy, CDRom). Setting the flash drive to FORCE FDD then it will boot from it every time no matter how the other drives are rearranged. I've had this setting turned on from the first time i made any changes in the bios, yet it still like to mess with me -=Jason=-
October 15, 201015 yr update bios. i had older revision of BIOS - changed those settings and it worked. updated BIOS recently for the helluvit and changed that setting again and it still works (have since added a few new drives).
October 15, 201015 yr I know my board is a different model than the on in this thread, but I do have the most recent bios installed. -=Jason=-
