May 5, 20179 yr Hey i want to share my unRAID system for LAN parties or something else if you need two computers and have not enough space also i've attached two photos at the bottom of the post. My specs are: Case: Corsair Carbide Air 540 CPU: 2x Intel Xeon 2670v1 (Hyper Threading off) Motherboard: ASUS Z9PA-D8 RAM: 64GB DDR3 1333Mhz ECC Reg. (Overclocked to 1600Mhz) Video Card: 1x PNY GTX 1080 FE (Overclocked and undervolted) + 1x ASUS GTX 1080 FE (Overclocked and undervolted) Power Supply: Corsair 850i (850W) Disks: something i've got lying around (Array: WD 500GB 7200rpm HDD & Cache SanDisk 120GB SSD) Cool: Custom Watercooling mostly of EK (Rads Magicool: 1x 120, 1x 240, 1x 360; Pump: EK Laing D5; 2x EK GTX 1080 FE Waterblocks; 2x EK CPU Supremacy Evo; 6x Noctua 120mm fan's; Fancontroller: aquaero 5LT with two temp sensors for the water temp so it can handle all by itself and stays quiet & cool; LED: farbwerk) VM1: OS: Windows 10 Pro CPU: 8 Cores Disk: 59GB vDisk (on Cache) & 60GB vDisk (on Array) RAM: 31GB assigned Audio: via HDMI passthrough USB: USB3.0 onboard controller passthrough (only issue with this is if i connect my Soundblaster X G1 the USB3.0 passthrough crashes) VM2: OS: Windows 10 Pro CPU: 8 Cores Disk: 59GB vDisk (on Cache) & 60GB vDisk (on Array) RAM: 31GB assigned Audio: via HDMI passthrough USB: USB2.0 onboard Controller passthrough (no problems on this machine) I think unRAID (or KVM or whatever) does a good job handeling the resources and all the other things, no noticable performance decrease. Please put my post in the right forum if posted it wrong. Thank you LimeTech, you guys rock!
