coupas
Hi there, I am a long time user of unraid, and everything have worked like a charm from day 1 many years ago. But now I see in the log that the USB is about to go broken. What are my steps to resolve? Thanks in advance for any help you smart people can give me! I am running Unraid 6.3.2, I havn't updated yet as I don't want to reboot. Right now I have full functionality. Unraid runs in a virtual machine, started by plop kexec. Do you need any more information? Diagnostics are attached, Please help! Coupas. tower-diagnostics-20170506-1332.zip Quote Link to comment
Frank1940
I almost hate to ask you this question---- but how does it run on 'bare' metal? You might have to start with questioning the folks that service your virtual machine server.. Quote Link to comment
itimpi
In theory all you should have to do is to prepare a new USB stick using the contents of the current one and amend the VM settings to pass through the new USB stick instead of the old one. If you do this then when unRAID starts it will not auto-start the array and instead it will walk you through the process of transferring the license to the new USB stick. How the fact you are running in a VM might effect things (if at all) I am not sure. Quote Link to comment
