    yes, just the same as when you first create parity.

    Yes.

     

    In general the recovery process is the same regardless of whether it is a data or parity drive that fails - the remaining good drives are used in conjunction to recover the failed drive.

    I would also highly recommend adding a second parity drive. Just in case 2 drives fail at the same time.
