May 8, 20179 yr a little off course, but does anyone recommend a good VPN service? I current have Pure VPN and One VPM. They both have small issues, and both don't really seem stable. Lots of disconnects and very slow speeds. I always see lifetime subscription deals, but don't want to blindy getting VPN services anymore. A lot of them do not have trial periods, so it's really hard to see if they are any good. My crap modem from Comcast have anything remotely what I can use (like OpenVPN) because when I turn on bridge mode it somehow switches back to unbridged just from a power cycle. My Asus router has the ability to use OpenVPN for the entire network but Comcast's Gateway/modem is just a pain to deal. Thanks
May 8, 20179 yr PIA has always been reliable in the years I've used it. There's an offer on for two years subscription atm. I'll see if I can dig the link out later.Sent from my LG-H815 using Tapatalk

I'd call Comcast and have them give you a new modem. My Comcast modem stays in bridge mode like it's supposed to.

Instead of your ISP being able to see you visited a torrent search site and downloaded the latest movie torrent, all they see is an encrypted stream of data originating from some city halfway around the world. When the movie studio enforcers track who downloaded that latest movie torrent, your local IP isn't in the list.
May 9, 20179 yr thank for answers.. i'm using VPN to connect remote to my workplace, some site-to-site VPN for management purposes.. according torrents - using them very rarely.. any other purpose than hiding your IP?

That means you are in control of both endpoints, so no need to pay for a service. The "pay for services" are all about getting a remote endpoint in a different jurisdiction. You are paying for the maintenance of the endpoint and network connectivity there.
