libvirt.img not being created

Featured Replies

Somehow, unRAID no longer creates the libvirt.img file when enabling VMs.  The VM tab appears, but the page is blank.  And no .img is created at the libvirt storage location.  I say "no longer creates" because I was able to create a VM and install an OS previously, but not now.

post diagnostics including when this happens.

You've got this...

/mnt/user/system/libvirt/ is not a file

What it looks like you've done is in the VM settings, under the image file line, you've given it the name of an already existing folder (libvirt) instead of a filename within that folder.  ie: change it to /mnt/user/system/libvirt/libvirt.img and you should be good.

Ohhhh I misunderstood your response. I thought you were telling them that they needed to link directly to the file that was within that folder. I didn't realize that you had to specify the file for it to use directly in that folder even if it wasn't there the begin with. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Works now. thanks
