Unable to write to flash drive

Featured Replies

I am getting the error "Unable to write to flash drive" from the Fix Common Problems application.

I have confirmed it; I can't create or edit any files on the flash share.

How do I mount it as read/write persistently?

It always is.  FCP overrides any SMB security you might have on the flash drive over the network, so either the flash is buggered or its completely full.  Since you won't be able to run a diagnostics, what I'd suggest to do is go to Tools - Syslog, highlight everything, then paste it into another file on your desktop and upload the resulting file here... (Might have to zip it first)

I rebooted the server and now I can write files to it. I have attached the syslog here.

The flash was not full; 300 MB used out of 4 GB.

FYI another forum question that I have open is here:

Not sure if this is related. It might assist the community in helping me troubleshoot this on-going problem.
