Rebooting of unRAID from within a VM

Earlier I installed Ubuntu as a VM. I was updating and upgrading the OS via terminal. After completing the upgrade I typed "Sudo Reboot" and my unRAID rebooted, not the Ubuntu VM but unRAID itself. Should that have happened? Doesnt seem like it should.
