Potential glitch in Statistics plugin

I'm not sure where to post this.  If moderators feel it would be better in a different area, please feel free to move it.

I've returned from a few days away.  Normally I would get an email confirming that my appdata and flash drive were successfully backed up.  I haven't received it in at least 4 days. When I bring up the dashboard (or any tab) I am presented with the prompt to Install Statistics Plugin.  If I select "install" I receive the following:

plugin: installing: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/gfjardim/unRAID-plugins/master/plugins/statistics.sender.plg
plugin: downloading https://raw.githubusercontent.com/gfjardim/unRAID-plugins/master/plugins/statistics.sender.plg
plugin: downloading: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/gfjardim/unRAID-plugins/master/plugins/statistics.sender.plg ... done

Warning: simplexml_load_file(): I/O warning : failed to load external entity "/boot/config/plugins/statistics.sender.plg" in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.plugin.manager/scripts/plugin on line 214
plugin: xml parse error

If I select "dismiss" it returns to the web page, but only the tabs are visible (none of the content normally below the tab line is there).

I can probably putty in to the server and perform a command line reboot.  It appears to still be serving files and running docker.  I can leave it in this state if there are any logs or other troubleshooting information that would be of any value.

Doh. USB drive is dying. Should have searched a little deeper.

Diagnostics are always good...
