I noticed that the cache drive are not being used for the shared that i created when i transfer data to those shares i created.

What i already did:

Triple checked if the use cache drive option under de shared where on [yes]

turn it on [off] reboot -> start array change setting to [yes] rebooted -> start array transfer 4GB to the shared drive /ipadress/nameoftheshared cache drive no write or read, array and parity starts up.

clean config -> assign the drives again in the correct order since i don't wanne loss data, still same thing happens.

Rebooted/shutdowns many times.

Created a new shared with use cache on [yes] -> transfer data. Still no cache being used.

Extended smart test cache drive both -> passed

Scrub -> passed

Balance -> done.

Also under schedule i don't the mover options so i am thinking there something wrong but i have no idea anymore where to look.

Can you guys push me in the right direction.

I transfered more then 9TB of data so i prefer not to wipe everything.

Atm i am also doing a parity check because i run out of ideas.

here are the logs also

Hi, some basic questions...

Under Settings -> Global Share Settings is Use Cache Disk set to Yes?  (appears to be No)

Under Shares -> YourShareName is Use Cache Disk also set to Yes? (appears to be Yes for some shares)

When you are copying, are you copying to the User Share?  I.e., copy to \\Movies not \\Disk1\Movies.

Also, the best way to post your settings is to go to Tools -> Diagnositics and generate the file there, it will include everything at once.

Exactly thats what stumped me the first time was the global shares not set Cache to yes.

Omg Thanks guys it was indeed the global settings... i thought reading forums and some guides it was just plug a cache drive in en set the shares done.. didnt knew the global shared setting should be on [yes].
