May 23, 20179 yr Hi there, I recently bought a seconds parity disk to extend my redundancy but I have ran into an issue. Whenever I try to add a second, one of them will show as Faulty with the error on it Parity Device Is Disabled. I at first thought that this was due to the drive being broken so I got a new one shipped, but These are having the same error. It seems to be a bug within Unraid. Has anyone experienced something like this? Do I have to build parity one at a time for it to work? Here is a screenshot I took with the first two parity drives. But I have the same issue with these two brand new ones: I'd really love some help with this if possible!

May 23, 20179 yr Author So I've downloaded this zip with one of the parity drives in, and the other unassigned for context. What information would be best to look at?
May 23, 20179 yr Author After trying to plug all my 10TB's (that are running over the same cables to my HBA card) via sata and having no error, I suspect that this is actually due to one of the ports on my HP 240 card being broken, or a compatibility issue. I read in the hardware compatibility that this HBA works out the box, so going to look into what could be causing this

If you really want help post up the one where you can't assign the second parity drive. (That was the reason that johnnie.black posted up how to get the diagnostics file. That is the most important file that the Gurus need to begin to provide assistance.)
May 24, 20179 yr Another possibility that occurs to me is that maybe adding the 2nd Parity drive is taking the total power requirements over what your power supply can deliver? What power supply are you using? Perhaps some more detail on your hardware might allow someone to give informed advice?

If all thing alright then fully sync once. Edited May 24, 20179 yr by Benson
