Suddenly can't SSH but can telnet

Featured Replies

I'm getting this error:

ssh: connect to host 192.168.1.252 port 22: Connection refused

But telnet is fine.

I haven't done anything to my unraid in a while so I'm not sure where to start looking.

Can someone help please?

Assuming that you're using putty, can you still connect by switching the mode from SSH to Telnet?  You don't specify, but can you also hit the webUI?

Yes I can visit the web ui fine.

I'm on a Mac and I've used Terminal and iTerm, tested both SSH and telnet commands.

I just tried to SFTP using Transmit FTP client and "connection refused" too.

Bump.

Go to /config/ssh/ on your flash disk and check the ssh keys there. If they're 0 bytes then they're corrupt. Delete the files and reboot and they'll be recreated.

Thank you. Do you mean /config/ssh/ ? I don't have an /ssl/ folder in /config/.

All the ssh files are 0 bytes:
