Crashing Due to Memory??

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Running the latest OS, but I don't think that's the issue.

I'm stumped. System slows to a crawl and then becomes unresponsive. Log refers to memory issues.

On a potentially related note, I have been seeing the following in my log, a lot lately:

Jun  3 13:21:23 Tower kernel: 7310700 total pagecache pages
Jun  3 13:21:23 Tower kernel: 0 pages in swap cache
Jun  3 13:21:23 Tower kernel: Swap cache stats: add 0, delete 0, find 0/0
Jun  3 13:21:23 Tower kernel: Free swap  = 0kB
Jun  3 13:21:23 Tower kernel: Total swap = 0kB
Jun  3 13:21:23 Tower kernel: 8378013 pages RAM
Jun  3 13:21:23 Tower kernel: 0 pages HighMem/MovableOnly
Jun  3 13:21:23 Tower kernel: 133887 pages reserved
Jun  3 13:21:23 Tower kernel: php-fpm: page allocation stalls for 21459ms, order:0, mode:0x2400840(GFP_NOFS|__GFP_NOFAIL)
Jun  3 13:21:23 Tower kernel: CPU: 3 PID: 14380 Comm: php-fpm Not tainted 4.9.30-unRAID #1

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I had a similar issue, however, I was seeing a clear out of memory sign in the logs.

You can check out the following post, get the tips & tweaks plugin, and try what fixed it for me:

Worth a shot!
