June 6, 20179 yr Author ok, I didn't quite do that - i deleted the (five I think) BZ images from 6.4 and then copied across the ones from 6.3.5. There were more bz files on 6.4 than 6.3.5. It seems to have worked ok and server is back up again. Will post my problem now in separate post.

Yes /lib/firmware/ and /lib/modules/ have been split off to bzfiles. Old releases these were contained in bzroot.
June 6, 20179 yr As long as you replace all bz* files with the ones from the release you want to go back to it will work, no problem leaving the 2 extra files on the flash.
