I'm a student and planning to have a media server and file server for my projects and entertainment purpose.

 

Hence looking for a reliable NAS software.

 

My existing hardware configuration is :

 

Motherboard : Asus Z97 Deluxe

Processor : Intel i7-4700k

Ram : 32 Gb

HDDs : 2 x 2 Td and 2 x 3 Tb and may extend in future.

Graphics : Onboard Intel Graphics

Cabinet : CoollerMaster HafX

SMPS : Cooler Master 650 Watt

 

My questions :

1. Whether this configuration is good or best for running UnRaid 6

2. Whether UnRaid has any Student specifc lifetime license ?

3. I want to use the UnRaid NAS for Data Back with Auto Sync, access the system over net using some Cloud Technology and run Video/Audio files to my Android/Smart TV.
