June 10, 20179 yr I have two containers names "plex" and "plexpy". They are using the images "linuxserver/plex" and "linuxserver/plexpy". When I update the "plex" image, I get an error at the end that goes: Removing orphan image: 88a4edfe4d3a Error: Conflict: image used by container(s): plexpy I believe that is due to plexpy having a similar name to plex (and incorrectly matches), because I have no issues removing the orphan plex image through command line or the advanced view of the gui by itself. My guess is, the same command that is trying to remove the orphan plex image, is also matching the plexpy image that is in use (the image tag above matches the latest plexpy image that is in use, which is not an orphan one) and since the command fails, the orphan plex image is not removed either. This issue has been going on for many versions and still exists on the latest 6.3.5. I just got determined enough to look into it. Thanks
July 2, 20179 yr This happens to me as well with lsio's containers but only if I update the Plexpy container before Plex.

I'll take a stab at it tomorrow. @aptalca @CHBMB will need your assistance though in triggering Plex updates though upon demand Edited December 13, 20178 yr by Squid
December 13, 20178 yr Awesome response! Here's a screenshot of the problem if it helps further. See attached screenshot. @bonienl @Squid Edited December 13, 20178 yr by truetype
December 13, 20178 yr @Squid @bonienl in the meantime while I got you two experts here, can you help me out what the command aptalca is talking about to delete that old Image from SSH? Edited December 13, 20178 yr by truetype
December 13, 20178 yr Orphan images can be deleted by setting the Docker page in Advanced view (button top right) and left-mouse click on the orphan image opens a menu, choose Remove.
