June 15, 20179 yr I have a private share called "Photo", and have another user account to have read/write access. When I try to access the share and input password through Win10, "You need permission to perform this action". Any idea for this?
June 15, 20179 yr Clear cached credentials and reboot. Make SURE that the first attempt to access the server is to that share. If windows successfully connects to a share with different security first, it will hold the credentials used for the successful connection and not allow any other user and password to be utilized.
June 15, 20179 yr Author I have tried to remove credential from the WIN credential manager, and reboot the WIN, but it doesn't work.

And did you also do this part: 16 minutes ago, jonathanm said: Make SURE that the first attempt to access the server is to that share. and login with the user that has write access?
June 15, 20179 yr Author I'm not sure clear the cache (below steps) because it seems the PC still remember the login. 1. Remove all windows credential 2. run cmd > net use * /del any missing part?

Try to connect to the private share before you try to connect to anything else on the server. Login as the user that has write access. Windows will only allow one login per remote machine, and once it has established a login it will not let you use another, even if it prompts you to login again. Clearing credentials resets this and lets you login again.
June 15, 20179 yr Author Im pretty sure the login user having write access in unraid. Should i create a same username+password as WIN current login and grant write access to that created account? As the PC doesn't ask me again to input credential even though i completed above two steps. Hence i just think WIN still remember the credential.

I'm thinking the credential is stored in the WIN even using above two method (cmd and wins credential manager).
June 16, 20179 yr Community Expert If the share is public and then you have some other problem. Install Fix Common Problems plugin and then do Tools - Docker Safe New Perms.
