June 17, 20179 yr So just setup another server: 3770K - 32gb MEM - etc. Now it is simply impossible to install windows into a VM! Original windows 10 ISO - gets a BSOD just before installer loads Downloaded windows 10 ISO - gets to the second stage, getting file ready for installation, and quits with: 0x8007025D Windows 7 just hangs on booting. The log says: Domain id=6 is tainted: high-privileges And not much else... I tried the following: - Both BIOS versions - Setting cdroms to SATA - With the 'illegal' windows version I load the drivers as stated in the tutorial (balloon/kvm/vioserial/viostor) - Tried formatting the drive before installing to no avail (tip from google) Observed following: - Strangely phase 1, Copying windows files, completes instantly.. Some help please!
June 17, 20179 yr Try setting the number of cores on the VM to be only a single one for the initial installation.

July 20, 20178 yr Author Tried installing windows 7 with the settings: Display driver: cirrus Machine type 2.4 This did the trick for windows 7.. but I want windows 10! Almost tried every different setting available running out of options. Anybody?
July 20, 20178 yr I did this recently and it worked fine. Given that you are getting different results with different ISO's, the ISO you are using comes into question. Did you precisely follow this video guide? What version of unRAID are you using? (I installed on 6.3.5).
