April 14, 201016 yr I need some advice on buying all my cables.. I'm going with the Antec 1200, the SUPERMICRO X7SBE, and 2 X AOC-SASLP-MV8. I'm looking to max this thing out with all Unraid will support. What's the best route I should go with cables? SAS/SATA, sata, power, etc. not neccesarrily looking to go cheap..unless its the best solution of course.

April 14, 201016 yr Author Yep.. just before you posted this. I think I have everything ordered I need. Guess I'll know more once I start assembling. Thanks!
April 15, 201016 yr Author did you buy cable ties? Have a few but probably not enough now that you mention it. I should have included them in my monoprice order. Any reccomendations?
April 15, 201016 yr I'm seeing the use of Velcro strips to hold cables inside servers (use to only be for fibre cabling, but it is growing for patch leads). https://www.fastenation.com/class.php?id=319&crumbs=145,293,319&group=217#217 http://cableorganizer.com/hook-fastener/ http://shop.ebay.com.au/items/_W0QQ_sopZ12?_nkw=velcro%20cable%20strap&_fromfsb=0&_trksid=m270.l1313 It allows you to re-sort the cables without cutting/destroying cable ties. If you're the kindd of person who likes to fiddle under the hood of your server quite a lot, it might be worth using Velcro cable strips to hold your cables together. They come about 5 to 100mm wide and come in a role of 1 to 2m in length, and normally black or white. It is good for SATA cabling as it will hold the SATA cables firmly together, but you really can't over tighten them like with cable ties, resulting to damage. did you buy cable ties? Have a few but probably not enough now that you mention it. I should have included them in my monoprice order. Any reccomendations?
