April 14, 201016 yr Talked to Supermicro and they told me no problems connecting three of those fans directly to the mainboard. However, when I look at their ratings and the amount of current they draw, I am not sure!? The X7SBE has a total of 6 fan headers, manual can be found here: http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/Xeon3000/3210/X7SBE.cfm
April 15, 201016 yr I didn't see anything in the manual that specifically indicates amperage specifications for fans. However, on page 2-19 it states: Please use all 3-pin fans or all 4-pin fans on the motherboard. Please do not use 3-pin fans and 4-pin fans on the same board.) I'm running 5 Coolermaster R4-S2S-124K-GP 3-pin fans (and stock Intel Heatsink fan) on all the headers, but those fans only draw .15 amps, whereas the Deltas can draw up to .53 amps per fan.
September 20, 201015 yr Author Confirming that this board works well with three such fans connected directly to the mobo, each on its own fan header (mobo has connectors for 6 fans in total). No issues whatsoever.
