I don't have write access to some of my folders

Featured Replies

Hey

I tried adding a subtitle file to a folder in my shares and to my surprise i did not have the permission to do so. The folder is shared both with SMB and NFS and security settings set to public on both. The folder that i am trying to add a file to is called "Despicable Me". The folder was created by Radarr. If i go into the filesystem and run the command "ls -la" i can see that 95% of my files have the permissions "drwxrwxr-x". These are the ones i can get access to.

If i now instead run the command "ls -la | grep -i drwxr-xr-x" i get the following result:

root@db1903468ede:/movies# ls -la | grep -i drwxr-xr-x
drwxr-xr-x 1 root root 254 Jun 20 14:52 ..
drwxr-xr-x 1 abc users 144 Jun 22 03:46 Batman Begins (2005)
drwxr-xr-x 1 abc users 154 Jun 22 13:24 Despicable Me (2010)
drwxr-xr-x 1 abc users 144 Jun 22 03:50 Notting Hill (1999)
drwxr-xr-x 1 abc users 111 Jun 22 03:46 Power Rangers (2017)

These are the folders that i do NOT have write permissions to. What is causing this and how do i fix this?

You'll need to run docker safe new permissions from the tools menu (install fix common problems) and then change the permissions within radarr settings to be 0777
