What files are stored in which hard drive?

Featured Replies

Hello

i have some Bluray video from weddings that i have rip and stored in unRAID for quick access.

The bluray disks (and rips) are numbered like... 001, 002, 003 etc.

Is there a plugin/app or anything that will let me know what files are stored in each drive of the pool array,

so in the unlucky event of a disk/s failure i will know what files i had stored in those failed drives..

right now i have 1 disk for parity but soon i will add another one.

In the past years, i use drivebender but when i lost one of my hard drive it was impossible to know what files i had lost because of the nature of Bluray with some hundred files, so the csv file that i got from the drivebender with info about the files that i lost, was unable to use, due to almost 400.000 lines.

So i need only the top levels of info from folders and not every actual file.

any suggestions?

thanks

You can browse each disk from the webUI and drill down. Main - Array Devices, click on folder icon on far right for Disk 1. Then, for example, click on Movies. That will show you all the folders in the Movies share on Disk1. Print it out, Repeat for other disks.

There are also ways to list folders for each drive using the command line, and even put the results into a file.
