Constantly asked to install stats plugin rc6

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Recently upgraded to rc6 since I've got a Ryzen 1700/asus crosshair VI mobo combo so figured I'd help out with the rc releases if I could. System is running latest BIOS and mem isn't overclocked but running at ~2100Mhz rather than the rated 2400Mhz.

As of the last few days my server has started to hang (no comms and no terminal output) at apparently random times, both on 6.3.5 and rc 5/6. Followed along in the Ryzen thread in hardware/cpu to look at the various settings people have had success with but to no avail.

That said, a weird situation came up this morning after I had to hard shut down the server since it became unresponsive last night.

When I logged into the ip/dashboard I was consistently asked to install the stats plugin, even though I had it installed prior to my knowledge. Any of the other webpages I tried to navigate to by manually entering the url (main/shares etc) immediately caused the pop-up to appear and would not allow me to do anything about it.

I was able to ssh into the server and grab the diagnostics although when I attempted to gather the diagnostics after logging in I received a message about not being able to create a folder. I can't remember which one specifically (think it was boot/logs) but no zip was created.

I pulled the folder structure and zipped them myself, after which I attempted to reboot via ssh just by typing reboot which the server has gone offline but has now no longer come up as of ~20 mins ago and I'm not home to perform another hard shut down.

See attached diagnostics.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It appears that my USB drive had some issues with it, connected it to a windows PC, scanned/repaired and all appears to be well in the world.

Apparently that plugin has an alternative role: detect faulty flash drives. You are the 3rd person I know that had this issue due to corrupted USB drive.
