Multiple Network Interfaces - Dockers should listen on specific IPs only

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have an HP ML10 Gen9 with one internal Network-Card and a Quad PCI Interface.

I enabled all 5 NICs and each of them have a dedicated IP within the same Subnet.

How can I configure a Docker to use e.g. NIC2 only?

And how can get UnRaid (incl. the DOcker I want to run on the primary IP only) to listen only on NIC1?

Br,

Johannes

Want to specify my question:

The reason is, that I want to operate different dockers which need the same ports without port mapping on different IPs/NICs.

Br,

Johannes

When using multiple interfaces they all should be in different subnets to avoid routing problems.

With unRAID 6.4 (currently in rc) it is possible to assign a unique IP address to each individual docker container, this allows multiple containers to use the same ports without conflict.
