advice of 10GbE NIC

before i order this NIC, can i confirm that it works with unraid?


intel ethernet converged network adapter x540-t2 

 

having said this, would it work with windows 7/10 too? if not my pc solution, i will use asus new nic 10gbe.

 

what do you think, guys

has to be rj45, im aware the fiber solution is cheaper.

 

the x540-t2 can get around 80-95usd in ebay.

 

my motherboard is supermicro X9SCM-F.

hi guys,

 

my intel x540-t2 arrived and installed.

i installed on my windows 10 pc and was working fine then i plugged into my unraid machine.

how do i configure the unraid to use the NIC instead? 

anyone can assist me, please?

Settings -> Network Settings -> Interface Rules

 

Select which NIC you want as eth0 and configure it, you'll need to reboot to apply any interface rules change.

 

You can use the boot GUI mode to configure these if you don't currently have network access.

i got it working already.. i see this address to the device is different to the other 2 which is pretty similar except last digit.. so i picked the other address and it is working..
