My newness to unRAID is showing. Im pretty sure my share is not under an owner, but I have attached the settings for the share that I pointed my downloads to.

I have attached the settings for the docker mapping. I have it saved to a dump share, which I have also added the share settings to.

Can you open a terminal and provide the output of the following command:

ls -l /mnt/user/

For the share I have it pointed at, here is the command.

OMG!! So I was going to screenshot inside jdownloader, when I noticed there was /output under where Ive been trying to use. LOL. Im still so used to using JDL in windows and new to unRAID. I now tried a youtube vid just real quick and it DLed it where I wanted it to go.

Thanks everyone for the help, and sorry for wasting your time.

Yep. In your docker setup screenshot, notice the container path says /output, and the host path says /mnt/user/Dump.

The container is jdownloader, the host is unraid, so /output = /mnt/user/Dump

Gotcha. It clicked when I was going to show you. Dont know why it didnt before. Ive set up other dockers and wondered why JDownloader was giving me issues. Thank you both for your assistance.

@Djoss I have a special use case for this container actually. I mount a external hard drive to my ubuntu machine running this container and then i start the container with the specified /output location. But when i start the container before mounting my external hard drive to my operating system then the container creates the missing folder and my operating system adds another folder with a number behind. The downloaded content will then be written to the internal drive because of this behaviour. I would be happy if someone could guide/help me a bit with this problem. Maybe i can correct it easily with docker settings? ..or is there a docker config which could be added? 🙂

Have you tried the x11vnc '-ncache' VNC client-side pixel caching feature yet?

The scheme stores pixel data offscreen on the VNC viewer side for faster
retrieval. It should work with any VNC viewer. Try it by running:

x11vnc -ncache 10 ...

One can also add -ncache_cr for smooth 'copyrect' window motion.

best regards

dockerstarter

From what I know you really have to make sure to mount your drive before starting the container.  I'm not aware of a method to dynamically change/update a mapping while the container is running.

I'm having the same problem.

After the update yesterday the docker won't stay running for more than a few minutes before crashing.

So both of you have this issue with an existing installation?

Can you look at "/mnt/user/appdata/JDownloader2/logs/" to see if there is anything useful?

From what I know you really have to make sure to mount your drive before starting the container.  I'm not aware of a method to dynamically change/update a mapping while the container is running.

Okay then i guess i'll need to script something which stops the container before unmounting/removing the external hard drive and starting it again after attaching. Hmh 🧐  ..maybe a cronjob with combination of other things. My brain is smoking 🤔

@Djoss there is some donation flying around if you'll be willing to assist me a bit (if you could or have any good idea and hints how to reach this goal, leave me any message here) 👍

How do you mount your drive exactly? Manually?

Just updated unRAID to 6.6.5 from 6.5.3 and now this is what I get when trying to access the Jdownloader WebUI. Nothing was changed otherwise. I have tried deleting the container and reinstalling it, changing the port to access the UI, the same result. Any other troubleshooting I can do?

Try to clear your browser's cache.

Really? That's it? Of course, it worked... I feel silly now, I probably should have at the very least tested another browser and then when it worked I would have thought to clear the cache. I'll bet I'm not the first nor will I be the last to have problems that are fixed this exact way, right? 👍

Thanks!

No you are not the first having this issue ;)  I should really add something about this in the README.

I'm unable to get extraction working on this docker. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Extraction is enabled in the settings and there is plenty of space on the drive. I'm able to extract the rar files manually but jdownloader refuses to extract anything.

1.png

Do you have the issue only with rar files?  Can JDownloader extract other file types (e.g. zip)?

Note that there no official support yet for rar5 files (https://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=71069).
