Question about CPU drivers

Featured Replies

I follow spaceinvaderone on YouTube and recently he posted a video showing how to increase unraid performance.

One of the tips was to install the tips and tweaks plugin, then enable the performance governer and enable turbo boost. It is shown that the CPU is using the intel_pstate driver.

On my system it is using the ACPI Cpufreq driver and I don't get the option to enable turbo on my CPU (Xeon e5620).

Is it possible to change the driver or does the intel_pstate driver not support my CPU?

That is the driver for Westmere CPUs, as long as turbo boost is enable in the bios it should work despite the turbo frequency not being displayed, you can check this thread for a way to confirm:

Thank you, boost does appear to be working after all.
