July 9, 20178 yr Hi, I added a new Share, the state it displays is "some or all files unprotected". I do have a cache drive, but the new share does not use caching. I launched the move to check if something changes. It does not. Any Ideas?
July 9, 20178 yr Community Expert Have you checked the cache drive to see if there are any files that should belong to the share? If there are then the User Shares system will still include them as part of the share. This can happen if any apps are running that by-pass the user share system and this would result in the status observed. If the share is also set to ‘Use Cache: No’ then mover will ignore such files and leave them on the cache drive. The share has to be set to ‘Use Cache: Yes’ to get mover to move such files to the main array. Edited July 9, 20178 yr by itimpi
July 9, 20178 yr Author U r right, some files ended up on the cache, not idea why... I set caching to 'yes' and started the mover. I'll set the share to "no" after the mover has finished. Edited July 9, 20178 yr by Jaster
