Server won't boot after parity drive replacement

Hallelujah!  New PSU arrived early was able to work up carefully to booting the entire array with not a single problem along the way.  Parity sync / data rebuild with the new parity drive is running now.

So what do you guys think after all this?  I know part of the problem w/this board was not having the correct NB config in BIOS to boot with the controller in the PCI slot however I'm almost positive that I didn't touch those settings until after it stopped powering up in the first place, and I know the other board was working fine because I'd just pulled it out of a working Windows desktop not 2 days before.  So do you think the PSU I started with (the Corsair V550) was the most likely culprit that started all this and killed the other board (flushing my Windows OEM license with it)?  I'm thinking I've got to RMA it at this point since I just don't trust putting it in another machine.
