July 11, 20178 yr I am having a problem with my Unraid 6.3.5 system. When the system craps out, the console is spewing errors, the networking is gone, and CTRL-C does not kill the console output. What is my best method of capturing the Syslog so that I can look at it or post it here for somebody to tell me what is going on? I know I have read errors on one disk, and I have a replacement on order, but can read errors take down the whole system? I thought Unraid was to prevent that and manage it? Meanwhile, if I want to prevent the bad disk from being used, can I just remove it from the list of drives to use for each user share that I have in the system? What happens to the data on that drive if I do that? Can I just remove the drive from all of the shares and then - if I want to spin it down sooner than when the replacement arrives - manually move the data to other drives? Thanks
