gbdesai
Anyone using this 24 bay case with Unraid? I was thinking about going the Norco 4220 route, but heard numerous some build quality issues and I'd like to have a 24 bay option (as it seems like Unraid will eventually support 24 drives). The problem I am having is that it is extremely unclear what the backplane cabling is for this case. I found one internal build pic which showed 24 individual SATA cables vs. 5 SAS connectors like you find on the Norco. I was planning on using two Supermicro PCI-E 8 port cards (giving me 16 drives) and the rest on motherboard (6 more for now). Here is a link to the specs http://www.supermicro.com/products/chassis/4U/846/SC846TQ-R900.cfm Thanks. Link to comment
