Just took the plunge ....

I just purchased an unRAID PRO key. After playing with it on the free version for a few hours, I can see it's definitely the way to go for my media storage needs 8)

8x 2TB, 4x 1.5TB and a 500GB cache drive all wired up and ready to rock ;D

Anyone know how long the keys usually take to come through? I cant wait to fire up all my drives!

2 days or so, the same as everyone else who seems to ask this every month :)

All up and running now, and getting 30mb/sec write. Is this good? It's fast enough for me but i thought it would've been slightly higher

That's about right.

Highest I could get was 43MB/s, but that was with some high end caching raid controller.

I just copied a 1gig file last night and Windows reported it starting at about 100MBps and drop to around 55MBps but that is abnormal. I'm typically seeing large files transfer to unRAID at a little over 30MBps with no cache disk.
