July 24, 20178 yr Hello, after a few issues going through my hard drive upgrades, I got things to a state of normal with one exception, my disk 3 is showing resierfs error. I followed the steps here; https://wiki.lime-technology.com/Check_Disk_Filesystems The output said I need to run the --build tree command but I saw the warning that some items may not be recoverable. Instead, can I remove the drive from parity - run a Preclear and rebuild parity? Will that have a better chance of saving the data? Thank you
July 24, 20178 yr Rebuilding a disk won't fix file system problems on it, if that's what you're asking.
July 24, 20178 yr Community Expert Parity can't fix filesystem issues, use --rebuild-tree, just make sure you're using v6.3.3 or newer as there was a problem with the reiser tools included in some previous releases.

Thanks, so if I understand correctly, if I replace the drive for example, the parity will rewrite the disk with the filesystem issues and i'll be back where I started?
