Bad Luck: lost mesages & no web gui/ssh after 60 seconds on boot

Featured Replies

DL 580 G7 server, plugged in a usb containing a valid unraid license running 6.4.x rc6  and it initially came up with a message on the login screen about the ip adress being valid for 59 seconds..

SO decided that I didn't really have anything worth keping in the rc, and reinstalled 6.3.5 on the usb (format clean install.)

Web UI works for about 60 seconds then nothing. Can't ping the server. New message about BAD LUCK lost messages shows up.

I don't know the history of this machine but I know I had window 10 running on it for about 3 hours before attempting to get it working with unRaid. I've reset the bios to factory defaults with no change.

I have been unable to procure logs as the login screen will no longer accept input almost immediately. I will try booting in safe mode tomorrow. I have second nearly identical machine I'll also try to boot and see if it occurs on both.

so.... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ thoughts?

--------

edit: it appears that the p411 card sitting in the server was causing an error: Lockup code 0x12. Haven't looked it up yet, but when I disabled it in the bios and booted in safe mode, it appears stable now. If something changes, I'll add more info.
