I have 20 HDDs in my server and my settings are currently set to spin down after 4 hours of inactivity. But my HDDs are constantly spun up.

Which is fairly annoying because as things stand my server is in my bedroom, and the case I have is prone to rattle.

 

Fairly sure it isn't a problem with Unraid itself, it'll be one of my apps that I use, I just don't know which one and how to fix it.

 

In addition to the 20 HDDs, I have a mechanical cache drive. And a 'unnasigned' SSD drive, which is what I use to instal apps to and download to.

 

The apps I'm using are Plex, PlexPy (only recently installed this, issue was from before), Radarr, Sonarr and Sab.

 

Any suggestions?

    You want to look at how you have Plex set up as it is the most likely culprit.   In particular how frequently/when it should scan for updates.
