EVGA Supernova Modular P/S - Only 1 Molex cable!

Featured Replies

Just purchased the above Power Supply. I run a couple of Norco SS-400 drive cages which require a total of 4 Molex connectors. The only molex cable supplied with the power supply gets plugged into the 'peripherals' socket on the power supply and I'm concerned if I connect up all my SATA drives in the norco's to that it may be too much.

Did a quick search on google but there doesn't seem to be any after-market EVGA to molex cables apart from those supplied in an entirely new set. I thought "surely other people must be in the same situation - what have they done to resolve this?"

Any thoughts?

Without getting roasted, some people use SATA to Molex adaptors for this kinda thing

Hi Miniwalks,

I figured there would be something like that. However - it seems that MALE SATA to FEMALE Molex connectors are a lot less common than I thought they'd be. Still....if they work....:-)

If you've just bought it, why not return it and get a PSU that has enough of the connectors you need?

Have you simply asked the manufacturer about the availability of extra cables. I was in a similar situation asked for an extra Molex cable and they mailed me one at no charge
