[SOLVED] Query on creating a cache pool

Featured Replies

Hi

When I originally set up my NAS drive I had only one cache drive and when I assigned the SSD to the cache I got the "unmountable drive" message which then prompted the appropriate formating to take place.

I've just added a second SSD so that I have redundancy in my cache but this time it doesn't ask to format that new cache drive, nor is there a format option available. The file system is btrfs for the first cache drive but it's blank alongside the second one (screenshot attached).

By the way I also notice no filesystem alongside the parity drive either.

Is this correct?

Many thanks

Alan

Yes.

Cache pool info is shown next to the first disk in the pool, no need to repeat for rest of pool.

Parity has no filesystem.

Superb, many thanks. Having spent more than 25 years on MS products and the last year on Linux MInt, ths is yet another new learning curve for me.
