unable to update dockers, dockers failing to connect to internet

Featured Replies

i noticed Deluge was giving an error about not being able to connect to one of my indexers.  I noticed all my dockers said an update was available, but it failed to update, giving an error similar to this...

Error: Error while pulling image: Get https://index.docker.io/v1/repositories/binhex/arch-delugevpn/images: dial tcp: lookup index.docker.io: connection timed out

i looked into it, but couldn't find anything obviously wrong, so I thought I'd just reboot the server.  I tried stopping the array, but it just hung the GUI completely.  Putty was still available, but shutdown -r now didn't do anything to reboot the server.  I got the 'network disconnected' warning/message, but it never rebooted the server.  After letting it go for over an hour, I then put reboot -f in putty, which caused unRAID to dirty reboot, and started a parity check.  After stopping the parity check, i tried again to update the docker, but got the same message.  i tried 4 of my 5 dockers, and they all give me a similar message to the one above.

So, it seems my unRAID is broke for some reason.  Diagnostics attached.  Help much appreciated.

Is your docker interface setup correctly ?

It seems my DNS settings suddenly became "no good" and I lost internet on most (but not all?) of unRAID server.  I removed all custom DNS settings, and just put my router IP as the DNS IP and it's working again.

Can't say why all 3 DNS addresses went bad, but I'm working again.
