(SOLVED) New Install Array Won't Start

Featured Replies

Fresh install of 6.3.5 running on the trial key.  When I click 'Start Array' the screen just refreshes and nothing changes, Array does not start.  I am sure you will see in the files, but I have 6 drives not including the USB Flash (I dont think this counts anyways?), but since I am on the Trial it should not matter.  Have 2 drives set for Cache, 1 for parity and the other 3 as just the storage.

4x WD Red 1TB Drives (Parity + 3 storage)

2x WD Black, 500GB and a 1TB (Cache Pool)

I am hoping there is just something boneheaded I am missing being new, but my searching has not turned up anything that has worked for me.

Thank you in advance!

There's an error verifying the partition on your parity disk, 2 of your SATA ports (where parity and cache1 are connected) are in IDE mode and limited to ATA33, change them to AHCI in the bios and try again.

Thank you very much Johnnie!!

That did it.  Actually the main SATA controller was set for AHCI already, but there was a separate setting for Ports 5 and 6 for some reason, which was set for IDE, once set for AHCI the Array started right up and is doing its 'rebuild' now!

Thanks again
