July 31, 20178 yr Hello, My main server did a parity check this passed night. During that check my disk 1 showed some read errors (252). This is my oldest drive (still original to the server) of 4 years + . It's also the only surviving seagate drive ( all others failed within 2 years...) I have attached the diagnostics file. I did a extended smart check, which it passed. It does show attribute 187 "reported uncorrect" of 2. All disks are housed in a supermicro m35T enclosure. Should i replace this disk immediately? Or if not is there anything i should be doing? Thank you ! Bart tower-diagnostics-20170731-1929.zip
July 31, 20178 yr Community Expert There were some read errors but those sectors were successfully re-writen since the disk wasn't disable, still not a good sign and since that model is know to fail a lot I would replace it sooner rather than later, for example, if those read errors happened during a rebuild of anther disk it would result in a corrupt rebuild.
