April 21, 201016 yr I just ordered the X7SBE instead of the Intel MB I was going to and have a question on the IPMI function.. From what I can see from the specs, IPMI wont work unless you install an add-on card like the AOC-SIM1U+, is that correct? On the spec page for the MB, it lists the AOC-SIM1U+ card, but when you look at the specs for the card, it doesnt list the X7SBE as compatible.. Is the AOC-SIM1U+ the correct card to buy?

Is the AOC-SIM1U+ the correct card to buy? yep that card/MB combo works fine, that is the combination i am using now and it works great.. as for the IPMI i did not even try without the AOC-SIM1U+ card because i knew that i wanted to remotely access the server while it was tucked away in another part of the house. thanks James
