For some reason I cant seem to access the webgui, everytime I try to I get:

Unable to connect

Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at localhost:8082.

have tried using my lan ip 192.168...:8082

same error.

I figured I might be asked about logs and settings so:

Hello - I'm thinking of signing up for PIA VPN (its $79 for 39 months which is pretty good deal).

How do I edit the docker template to make sure that qbit only runs when vpn is active / "kill switch" works without any leaks? Want to protect against my internet provider knowing anything about what I'm DL'ing.

does anyone have instructions on how to make linuxserver's qbittorrent route all traffic through PIA VPN in Unraid? Trying to understand how to do this without using the binhex docker as i would like to learn this step for other linuxserver containers later on

You can add a SOCKS5 proxy under settings in qBittorrent. If you can reach their IP/hostname from your local network (VPN running on your router for example).

Hi! Since today, I cannot add torrents anymore. Magnet link or files, I add it and just nothing happens.
I see that a new update was pushed today, but I tried downgrading and it's still not working. Any idea?
What happens when you add a file or link? I have a friend with the same issues and just crashes the software

Has anyone seen this error, or know how to fix it?

QLocalSocket::setServerName() called while not in unconnected state

I see it getting repeated in the docker log immediately after [custom-init] no custom files found, skipping...

I was changing some settings in the qBittorrent.conf and then I couldn't stop the container. I was getting a "No response from daemon: Cannot stop pause container... " message or similar.

So I deleted my docker.img file and reinstalled qBittorrent and not I'm seeing the QLocalSocket error and can't access the webUI.

Nevermind, managed to get my old qBittorrent.conf from a backup and got it working again.

Hey, I'm trying to route the traffic from qbittorrent through my nordlynx container. I have other containers already configured including sabnzbd (which uses port 8080) and prowlarr already through the nordlynx container. Below is the docker run command that is generated when I set network to none, and specify the container. For context, when I set network mode to bridge, remove the --net=container parameter, I can access the ui but it's not behind a vpn. I would like to avoid having qbit use port 8080 as my setup is already configured to have sabnzbd there. I'd rather not use proxies. I prefer to use containers maintained by linuxserver as most of my other containers are also sourced from them and it keeps the configuration pretty similar. Please let me know if more information is needed.

docker run
  -d
  --name='qbittorrent'
  -e TZ="America/Denver"
  -e HOST_OS="Unraid"
  -e HOST_HOSTNAME="Tower"
  -e HOST_CONTAINERNAME="qbittorrent"
  -e 'WEBUI_PORT'='8282'
  -e 'PUID'='99'
  -e 'PGID'='100'
  -e 'UMASK'='022'
  -l net.unraid.docker.managed=dockerman
  -l net.unraid.docker.webui='http://[IP]:[PORT:8282]'
  -l net.unraid.docker.icon='https://raw.githubusercontent.com/linuxserver/docker-templates/master/linuxserver.io/img/qbittorrent-logo.png'
  -v '/mnt/user/appdata/Downloads/qBitTorrent/':'/downloads':'rw'
  -v '/mnt/user/appdata/qbittorrent':'/config':'rw'
  --net=container:nordlynx 'lscr.io/linuxserver/qbittorrent:latest'

When I setup my nordlynx container, I had to add these extra parameters

--cap-add=NET_ADMIN --sysctl net.ipv4.conf.all.src_valid_mark=1 --sysctl net.ipv6.conf.all.disable_ipv6=1

Hi all!
I just deployed a qbitorrent container but I found the "unautorized" problem.
I've seen a few possible solutions but trying to implement them I found another problem:
If I go to my qbitorrent.conf and I add the lines to fix my "unautorized" problem when I restart the container the qbitorrent.conf goes to default again and I dk what I can do then!
I'm running in docker in a raspberry with raspberry OS updated to the lastest and I have portainer too.
Anyone can point-me where I must look to find the solution?

How do I change the Docker port 6881? It's not adjustable in the template for some reason, and no matter what I do I get

```
docker run
  -d
  --name='qbittorrent'
...
  -p '8080:8080/tcp'
  -p '54321:6881/tcp'
  -p '54321:6881/udp'
...
```

which drives me crazy.

I can port forward whatever in my router but, to the best of my understanding, the qBittorrent client reports its port 6881 to a torrent tracker which blacklists 6881.

Dear all,

I am seeding quite a few Linux ISOs and Qbittorrent is reading everything from my drives, instead of using the 2GB of configured Read-Cache (configured in WebUI as "Physical memory (RAM) usage limit").

How can I tell Qbittorrent Docker container to use the available RAM as read cache?

On my Pi this wasn't an issue with the same Docker container, so I guess it has something to do with unraid that the RAM is not used for read-cache.

Regards

Philip

Found a hint/solution, in case anyone wants to know:

Is there an updated resolution or workaround for the username/password issue?

I just installed qbittorrent because rutorrent is deprecated and no longer runs on 6.12.4. I don't use or need a VPN for my torrent client, so I thought this would be a suitable replacement. But I can't login in at the WebUI. I've tried admin/adminadmin, reinstalled, used FF, Chrome and Edge. Nothing seems to work and I always get "Invalid Username or Password".

Any help?

Thanks,

Jim

if you check the logs a new temporary password will be created for the current session, ON SHUTDOWN !!! otherwise it stays on init finished if I hit shutdown or reboot I get 3 Lines stating a new temporary password has been created for the session which obviously won't work if it only comes up on shutdown
