Network problems - ASRock Z170 Extreme7+

Featured Replies

I don't know if my NIC is supported. Just setting up this new system and can't get into the web interface. Router doesn't appear to be dishing out an IP.

Does anyone know if the dual NICs on this board are supported? How can I tell if drivers are running properly? Running ifconfig gives me this:

unraid nic.jpg

Eth0 and eth1 appear to have the same mac address

I noticed that. No idea why. Maybe I'll disable one NIC and see if there's a change.

Edit: OK, so after disabling one NIC, I have a duplicated mac address. And it's totally new.

The second screen shot shows that you appear to have successfully obtained a MAC address.   Also since br0 is showing I think this means that you have bridging enabled in the unRAID Network settings.

If you want more informed feedback you should provide the system diagnostics (Tools->Diagnostics) ZIP file so others can get a better idea of your system configuration and what is actually going on.   If you still cannot get to the web GUI then logging in at the console and using the 'diagnostics' command will result in the relevant zip file being written to the logs folder on the USB stick.

I believe I have resolved the problem. And it's pretty stupid, I'll admit! I was not able to see the IP of the server on the router because I'm working at a friends house. The place is a mess, and I didn't know that there were two routers in the house. My laptop, being on wireless, was on a completely different LAN than the server. That's why I was unable to access the server. Sorry to waste your time. And thank you for responding!

Case closed :)

lel - so what have you learned? ALWAYS check the Network-Infrastructure FIRST xD
