space
Is this all I can hope for? This is copying a large file from my win10 VM to a share on the array. Low spots are at around 5MB/s. Disks are 1TB SATA. Home network is 1Gbit, if it's using the network instead of communicating directly? Edited August 12, 2017 by space Quote Link to comment
1812
search "turbo write" or get a cache disk. Otherwise, that is it. Quote Link to comment

Smitty2k1
I've been struggling for years to get decent write performance to the ssd cache but I'm in the same boat as you. My copies and writes usually peak in the low 40s Quote Link to comment
space
With turbo write enabled I seem to get an extended period of good speed at the beginning, then dropping to 8-9MB/s, and ut to 50MB/S again, like the wave pattern above. Still better than before I guess. Quote Link to comment
