August 8, 20178 yr Hello, I am trying to test out unraid inside of my VM just to see if it would work before I commit to wiping my existing NAS and rebuilding it as Unraid as I don't have a spare physical PC to test it. When I try to test the Unraid via GUI web interface, I'm unable to do so because of registration error... I'm getting the following message... Is there any way I can get a trial key to test this out? August 8, 20178 yr You will need to pass the USB key through in such a way that unraid can access it directly. How you accomplish that depends on which hypervisor you are using, some hypervisors can, others can't. There are posts on this forum if you search about running unraid in a VM, but it is not a supported configuration, so you are pretty much on your own getting it to work that way.
