How can we create an VM using an existing VMDK file?

I would like to create a VM using an existing VMDK file. I did this on an earlier version, but can't get it to work now, it was a while ago and I forget what I did. I grabbed the vmdk from http://docs.librenms.org/Installation/Ubuntu-image/ 

 

When I boot it up I get a "Boot Failed. EFI Misc Device" message.

 

What else do I need to do?

    Did you select SeaBIOS OR OVMF when creating the VM?   Whichever you selected I thinks you may need the other one.

    Ah thanks, totally didn't remember the advanced settings. I was wondering where those were. Simple and boots up now of course. Thanks so much!
