April 24, 201016 yr Hi all, A few months ago one of the hdds in the array failed quite obviously with loud noises and lots of SMART errors (and had it replaced). A few days ago I noticed a DISK_DSBL next to one of the hard drives and a blinking orange instead of a nice green status bubble (see attachment). I performed a SMART-test but I doesn't show any errors. Any ideas on what's causing this problem? Thanks! Edit: found this topic on how to re-enable the drive. Let's try that first...
April 24, 201016 yr That smart test shows errors and it shows that some short tests never completed. There is no long test either. SMART Self-test log structure revision number 1 Num Test_Description Status Remaining LifeTime(hours) LBA_of_first_error 1 Short offline Interrupted (host reset) 90% 2605 - 2 Short offline Interrupted (host reset) 90% 2309 - 3 Short offline Completed: servo/seek failure 70% 1425 - 4 Short offline Completed: servo/seek failure 90% 1425 - 5 Short offline Aborted by host 90% 1425 - 6 Short offline Aborted by host 90% 1425 - Do a short test on an idle system. It takes about 2 minutes. Do a long test on an idle system overnight. It takes a little over 200 minutes (I believe).
April 24, 201016 yr That disk has some bad sectors reallocated. Servo seek failures reported as well. I'd make sure you have a copy of the drives data as well as following Weebos advice.
