barrygordon
I am a beginner at this but look into the linux command mkfs. That command makes a file system. One of the options (-t) is which file system. reiserfs is one of the choices. You might have to first format the disk with fdisk if it is not yet formatted. Also the mount command itself takes a -t option with a file system type to mount as the argument. As I recall when I set up a blank flash drive I formatted it with ext2 using mkfs I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong. My linux reference (besides the web and this forum) is The complete Reference Linux, fourth edition by Peterson, Osborne publisher. I am sure there are others and maybe some more recent. Rajahal
I believe unMenu allows you to mount a drive outside of the parity-protected array, but I really don't know much about it. You may want to look into SNAP as well. Link to comment
