Can't boot OS in VM

Hello,

 

i tried to install ubuntu 17.03. The install run successfully but after install the VM tried to install again. When i remove the .iso file the vm start the shell. 

 

How can i fix this??

 

Here is my system log file: tower-syslog-20170816-2131.zip

Edit: I tried to install a Windows Server 2016 no problems. All works fine. But why i have problems with ubuntu

Edit the vm and remove the iso for the install

when i remove the iso after the first install and before the second boot i get the shell. Here a picture gl6Ph74.png

 

 

Quick googling shows that you can boot ubuntu via UEFI, but you have to jump through a few hoops.

 

Easy solution is to simply set the BIOS to SeaBIOS and be done with it.

Yeah installing with seabios was the only way for me too.

Could you maybe add this info to the vm create page or have the template automatically choose seabios when making an Ubuntu/debian etc build?

change Machine type Q35-2.8 to i440fx-2.9. Boot uefi works.

it worked. i'm running my ubuntu server but now there is no ethernet connection. i choose br0 as network card

i don't have an idea why i have no network. i restarted the computer. changed the network card nothing help.
